What to Expect During the Penile Widening Procedure
This outpatient procedure is performed with the patient under general anesthesia, to ensure the maximum level of comfort. Dr. Giunta, using his specially designed and patented instruments, will begin the procedure by removing excess fat from the patient’s body (usually from the abdomen, or another place where excess fat is stored) through liposuction. The fat is then purified and refined using nutrients and adult stem cells and injected into the shaft of the penis. Dr. Giunta will then close the incisions with dissolvable sutures.
Recovering from Penile Widening Surgery
After surgery, the patient’s penis will be wrapped in a soft dressing, which will keep the injected fat evenly distributed along the penis length. There will be some soreness and discomfort, which can be managed using the pain medication prescribed by Dr. Giunta. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities within a week, though sexual activity should be suspended for at least six weeks after surgery.
